An Ancient Church for your wedding ceremony.

The beautiful church of Ayia Kyriaki Chrysopolitissa, Kato Paphos (the Church of St Paul’s Pillar) is of an early Christian Basilica which is steeped in local and biblical history, and is situated among ancient ruins and mosaics in the heart of Kato Paphos. Ayia Kyriaki is available for Anglican wedding ceremonies every Monday and Tuesday and Saturdays upon request, and Catholic ceremonies on Wednesday, Thursday & Fridays Weddings take place between the hours of 1.00 p.m. and 5.00 p.m. from April to October and between 12.00 p.m. and 3.00 p.m. between November to March, with wedding ceremonies taking place every hour. The church can seat comfortably up to a maximum of 125 people for weddings. A wheelchair ramp is also provided for ease of access.

The Anglican wedding ceremonies are conducted by the Resident Chaplain of the Parish, and Locum Ordained Church of England Priests, Catholic ceremonies are conducted by Father John, and the service lasts for approximately 40 minutes. The Church takes pride in the delivery of this spiritual ceremony of Holy Matrimony, and offers a caring and personal service to all couples, which includes interviews up to two days before the ceremony takes place. These interviews are with the Priest officiating at the ceremony, to ensure that everything on the day goes without any problems, and is tailored to meet your needs.

For those who would like a catholic wedding you must first proceed with a civil ceremony this can be low key and can be conducted the day before your catholic ceremony with just the bride & groom and two witnesses, this is necessary as only your catholic ceremony is not recognized within the catholic church.
